Once the roadmap has been approved,  its implementation can start. It is at this point that you will begin developing your national (or sectoral) LCA database, following the agreed action plan. Make sure that the following steps are in place, so that the roadmap implementation can run smoothly:

  1. Approval of the roadmap
  2. Capacity building
  3. Establishment of procedures
  4. Customer and user conditions
  5. IT platform
  6. Maintenance and development

These steps provide guidance but are not set-in stone. Local adaptations maybe necessary to accommodate specific situations. Next to that, engaging with experts that have gone through the process before will also be very valuable.
